The Daily News Journal released their All-Area 2007 Football Team on 12/25/07. MTCS placed our first ever player on the first team, one on the second team, and four received honorable mention.

The All-Area Team includes all nine Rutherford County ( and Cannon County) High Schools that include: MTCS, Eagleville, Cannon County, LaVergne, Smyrna, Siegel, Oakland, Riverdale, and Blackman.

1st Team MTCS Senior Sammie Harris Punter

2nd Team MTCS Junior Devin Brunsvold Linebacker

Honorable Mention: Sophomore Nathan Coats, Senior Glenn Hollandsworth, Junior Dillon Wade, and Junior John Wright.

Much thanks to all of our players' dedication throughout the year and we look forward to next season!!! Let's prepare for a playoff run!! I hope to see all of you in the weightroom on Jan. 7th!! Let's get ready for spring practice!

Remember, every day that goes by and you did nothing to get better, you have helped our opponents.
